Drones are an increasingly popular device for capturing video and photos from the sky, but it can be difficult to choose one. We compiled a list of the best drones with long battery and will be reviewing them below.
What Drone Has The Longest Flight Time?
All the drones on this page are prosumer drones. They are suitable for professional and consumer photographers. The Autel Evo2 Pro has the fastest flight time at 40 minutes, so it is ranked no.1 on the list.
There are also commercial drones with longer flight duration, such as the SenseFly eBee X, which can fly for up to 90 minutes of flight time, and the DJI Matrice 300RTK, which can fly for up to 55 minutes. However, these drones are still suitable for drone photogrammetry and inspection and 3D modeling.
How to Choose a Long Flight Time Drone
The intent of the pilot is what will determine whether or not a drone has long-range.
Do you want to become a professional pilot? Do you have a keen interest in aerial photography? Do you work as a professional pilot and want to provide better results for your clients?
Once you have a clear understanding of your goals for flying it, you will need to strike a balance between:
- Flight time
- Drone’s Camera quality
These are the most important features pilots need to pay attention to. You will want to choose the best drones for long flight times.
In the table below you can find some of the most popular drones sorted by battery life in order. I have many other drones included in this article,
Best Drones with Longest Flight Time
1. SNAPTAIN S5C
First, one of the drones with longest flight time is Snaptain S5C. It, a 0-20 minute drone, is what we’re going on about. Although it is the fifth-placed model, that doesn’t make it any less good. It wouldn’t even be on this list if that were the case!
- It is affordable, but highly sophisticated, and has many amazing features.
- It is possible to do it yourself. It is only necessary to assemble the item.
- It is extremely durable and can withstand being dropped or handled roughly.
- It is ideal for young users.
- Even on windy days, it works well.
- The drone can perform impressive acrobatic moves.
- You can choose from a variety of speeds, so it is as simple for beginners as for people with more experience.
- Additional playtime is possible with an additional battery.
- The flight range of drones from similar categories is not as long.
- Batteries must be changed regularly, even if they have an extra battery.
- Some features are missing from this drone, but they do have some.
Feature and Camera
This little bugger’s best feature is its visuals. I don’t mean its camera quality. Its stunning visuals are what I am referring to this time. Although it is made of plastic, Snaptain S5C still looks great.
The drone comes with a small 720p camera that supports WiFi FPV. However, you shouldn’t expect high-quality aerial footage. This is not possible at 60 dollars. Snaptain S5C also has a few low-end features, including one key takeoff/landing and VR headset support.
This sucker is not for its high-end hardware. It’s affordable and cheap so you won’t have to stress about it breaking down after a few crashes. You won’t be disappointed if you lower your expectations. Below are the specs: 50 meters operating range, maximum 10 minutes of flight time.
2. ALTAIR AA108
Although you’ve seen the professional drones, they are way beyond your budget. You’re lucky, because I prepared 5 more contestants with great flight times and a great price. Altair AA108 is the first to be drafted. This drone is a fairly new toy-grade model. It has great specifications and a low price. Let’s discuss it more!
- The integrated 720P HD camera optimizes video streaming quality for drone flying in FPV mode.
- Protective built-in guards make it easier to fly for beginners or first-timers.
- It has a unique and stylish appearance that makes it stand out from its competitors.
- It has beginner-friendly features that make it simple for novice and first-time flyers.
- Excellent remote control distance that allows for plenty of flying space indoors and outdoors.
- Available Micro SD card slot for storing images or videos.
- There is no GPS module on drones, but most drones have a built-in GPS module to ensure stability and precise control.
- The drone can be flown for approximately 10 minutes of flight time on a single charge. It is recommended to purchase additional batteries.
- You will need to purchase a Micro SD card separately as it is not included in the package.
Feature and Camera
This little guy’s first thing is the tiny camera at the front. The tiny 2MPX sensor is capable of taking a few selfies. Although aerial videos are acceptable, they’re only recorded at 720p resolution. This is unacceptable by modern standards. The camera is still a good buy for the price, so it can be considered a plus.
It doesn’t have a GPS module, so don’t be surprised if it doesn’t come with any features. It does come with basic version of waypoints and altitude hold, which although not as precise, do the job better than most.
Do you think that all drones are toys? I’m wrong. Altair AA108 is a great example of this. It can fly up to 100m and can remain in the air for as long as 10 minutes. These numbers are impressive and, realistically, the whole Altair AA108 is quite impressive. Altair AA108 might be the best choice for you if you have a tight budget but still need a drone that can fly well
3. HOLY STONE HS120D
This is the black DJI Phantom 4 Pro! This is not a Holy Stone model, as the decal on the front suggests. Holy Stone HS120D is the exact model. Although it looks like a Phantom, it offers a vastly different experience at a lower price.
- It is simple to use
- Long flight time at 16 minutes
- High-quality photos and videos with a good camera
- A low battery or signal loss? Use the auto-return function
- No assembly required
- The controller can adjust the camera tilt angle
- Stable flight
- For storage, sold with an SD card
- Uses LED lights to illuminate the night sky
- It is not easy to find a spare battery
- GPS calibration can prove difficult for new users
Features and Camera
Let’s start with the camera. Holy Stone has installed a decent full HD camera here that can capture decent aerial shots and videos. The stabilization is not ideal in windy conditions when the drone can shake up quite badly.
The HS120D is a great product. You have gesture control, tap fly, follow me and a simplified version of waypoints. All of them work well, given that this drone is so affordable.
4. HUBSAN ZINO
Hubsan’s all-new drone, Zino, is now available. Hubsan is a well-known drone manufacturer with many successful drones. H501S is probably the most obvious. Zino is a new perspective. It’s positioned at the center of the pack and actively provokes responses from DJI as well as other competitors. What is it that makes it so unique? And how long does it take to fly? Let’s take a look at it…
Feature and Camera
This drone is unique because of its camera. It is truly amazing. This 4K camera mounts on a 3-axis Gimbal and captures stunning aerial footage. Hubsan Zino’s camera is one of the most expensive at this price. It has the best camera for its price, and I think it’s quite reasonable.
Zino’s drone features are not to be taken lightly. It is equipped with GPS+GLONASS, which means it can perform many tasks thanks to its precise positioning data. Zino can access GPS failsafe and auto return home, which are safety features that come with almost all GPS-ready drones. Hubsan went above and beyond to offer Zino orbiting and image tracking capabilities.
Hubsan was not shy about making sure the Zino did well in the specifications department. Hubsan Zino has a strong presence in the sub $400 category with a range of around 4 km and a drone maximum flight time of about 20 minutes.
5. DJI MAVIC MINI – The Cheapest Drone With The Longest Flight Time
DJI’s smallest drone, Mavic Mini, is it. Technically, DJI Tello is higher than Mavic Mini so maybe the introductory section isn’t working… Hmm, what should I do? Let’s start with this: DJI’s smartest drone, Mavic Mini, is actually quite good. That’s it!
Feature and Camera
The DJI Mavic Mini set is packed with many features. DJI Mavic Mini has it all, whether you are into QuickShots and Snap Adapter, or if you just want to achieve that manual perfection. The integrated 2.7K 12MP camera mounted on a 3-axis stabilizer ensures smooth stabilization without any jittery jello. The best selfie drone on the market, priced at about $400
The DJI Mavic Mini’s operating range is roughly the same as its bigger brother, DJI Mavic Air. This means that the DJI Mavic Mini foldable drone can travel up to 4 km. However, the drone’s small size makes it a great choice for the next specification, which is flight time. It is small, at less than 250g, and can fly for half an hour. It’s pretty impressive, right?
6. DJI Mini 2
- Amazing Battery range and battery life
- Below 250 grams
- Very compact
- Video footage in 4k of high quality
- 3 axis gimbal
- No, Follow Me
To have a long battery life, not everyone wants to sacrifice everything. That’s why I included the DJI Mini 2 mini drone in this list.
It is the longest flying helicopter under 250g, according to what we know (even though it Hubsan Zino mini might even surpass it).
You don’t even have to register it. It’s also quite capable of a camera drone. It comes with a 4k camera and a 3 axis camera. These are extremely well-tuned and difficult to distinguish from professional models.
This drone is my favorite travel drone. The flight time at 16 31 minutes, which is amazing! Probably one of the best consumer camera drones you can get.
7. DJI PHANTOM 4 PRO
The Phantom 4 Pro is the 4th installment of the Phantom series. It also represents the flagship (the Pro) of DJI’s current generation drones.
Feature and Camera
The Phantom 4’s 1-inch camera sensor is added to the upgraded model. It has 4x more surface area than the standard Phantom 4 and can record videos in 4K at smooth 60 frames per second.
It also captures 20mpx photos in Raw and JPG formats.
DJI has finally added obstacle avoidance to their beauty, which is great news for other upgrades. This is a feature that we have waited for for a long time and it is refreshing to finally see it in action.
It is as smooth and reliable as possible, which will save you tons of nerves over the long term. It has had a cosmetic makeover, but most importantly, it now has a dedicated display that will simplify your life, at least in FPV.
It’s a marvelous vehicle, both in terms of its specifications and what we expect. It can travel up to 7 km without interference and signal failures, at a top speed of 45mph (30mph when GPS is turned on). It’s also not easy to believe that the battery will last for half an hour, which is more like 25-27 minutes.
DJI Phantom 4 Pro is done. This amazing piece of tech gadgetry is complete. DJI Phantom 4 Pro needs one last thing.
8. PARROT ANAFI
Since its inception, Parrot has been involved with the drone industry. It didn’t always have success. Bebop was met with mixed reactions, but Anafi came through to make things better. This drone is another unique masterpiece. It has exceptional hardware and adds a new twist to an already boring market.
Feature and Camera
Parrot Anafi’s camera module is what makes it unique. The standard 3-axis motorized drone gimbal packs a 4K HDR camera, but this tiny bugger has something extra. The camera is front-facing for a reason. It has a 180-degree vertical rotation that allows it to shoot straight down and straight up. Yes, that’s right, Parrot Anafi is able to shoot straight up!
Anafi also comes with a variety of cinematic presets including Dolly Zoom, which adds an extra dimension to your selfies. Safety features such as visual tracking, failsafe, and other useful stuff are all available, but that is to be expected for a drone this high-quality.
Let me remind you, Parrot Anafi doesn’t shy away from showing off his impressive features. This little guy can shoot stunning cinematic footage at 4km. You can also fly for 25 minutes of flight time, which allows you to focus on the camera and flying instead of worrying about charging your batteries. Parrot Anafi is an all-around drone that has a unique camera angle. If the 180-degree vertical madness appeals to you, then go for it!
9. AUTEL ROBOTICS EVO
Autel Robotics EVO is proud to be the third-placed team. It is a great drone with excellent hardware and stability. I have always loved Autel Robotics orange drones, and this one is no exception. The orange color isn’t what made it on this list. This is what was.
Feature and Camera
Autel Robotics has included a 4K camera in its foldable flagship model. EVO boasts a 12MP camera capable of recording 4K 60fps video.
Waypoints, orbit, and dynamic tracking are the key features. VR headset support will also be a great addition to your immersion. EVO is among the safest drones on this list thanks to its obstacle avoidance. This does not include DJI’s top-end masterpieces.
It’s hard not to be impressed by the feats Autel Robotics has accomplished with this device. This foldable drone has a flight time of 30 minutes and a range of 7 km. These are the exact specifications used by DJI’s highest-end drones. Yep, Autel Robotics EVO means business!
10. DJI MAVIC 2 PRO
Although DJI Mavic 2 Pro may be a high-end, premium drone, it’s still very different from Phantom 4 and Inspire 2. This drone is small and easy to take with you everywhere you go. You can fold it up, so it fits into almost any compartment. Mobility is what makes this bag so unique. You’ll be amazed at the little guy’s capabilities, despite his small size.
Feature and Camera
It basically packs the power and performance from a Phantom 4 Pro in a small package. The DJI Mavic Pro, which was the original DJI Mavic Pro, was hugely popular and addressed a similar concept. The second-generation model improved across almost all departments.
Camera-wise, the sensor is a powerful 1-inch one made by DJI and Hasselblad. The DJI Mavic 2 Pro can capture 4K HDR footage at professional levels, especially if you invest in proper ND filters.
Don’t get me started about all the features. Dual positioning systems (GPS/GLONASS), advanced smart capture modes, safety features, and autonomous flight procedures are all part of this drone’s capabilities. This drone is high-quality, from the features to the price.
DJI Mavic 2 Pro is expensive. It’s capable of so many things, that I am perfectly content with the price. While it would be great to have a sale every once in a while, you cannot say that the quality doesn’t justify the price.
11. Autel Evo 2
- Amazing battery range and battery life
- All around sensors
- Fantastic Follow me option
- Modular camera
- Solid construction
- Great for Mapping
- It was slow to fly, but a recent update corrected it.
This drone’s hardware is amazing. You can expect to fly for around 30 minutes flight time and have a lag-free range of around 8 km. This drone is insane, and I don’t know anyone who would want to fly that far.
The Autel Evo 2, which is still foldable and one of the longest-flying professional camera drones, will be our first. While drones can fly for longer distances, they are much more expensive and weigh significantly more.
If you are looking for a drone that can take photos and videos at a high level, the Evo 2 is a great choice. It has a 6k or 8k camera (modular), which can fly for up to 40 minutes flight time. It can also fly for an extended distance of 9km.
The 6k version is the more professional of the two, with a 1 in sensor that makes it ideal for low-light situations.
It also features tracking and obstacle avoidance sensors that can be used 360 degrees, just like DJI drones.
12. DJI INSPIRE 2
New fashion has emerged for the pinnacle drone industry. DJI Inspire 2 looks ready to compete with the next generation of drones thanks to its redesigned set of high-tech features, improved design, and stunning specifications.
It is packed with sensors, as everyone expected. DJI spent a lot of time developing obstacle avoidance. The Zenmuse camera/gimbal solutions provide unparalleled performance. This beast is a great choice for both novices and professionals. It has many amazing features that will challenge your imagination.
It’s still available with the latest series of drones and works great. DJI has also spent a lot of time working on specifications. DJI has managed to significantly improve its infrastructure, and all its latest models now have a maximum flight range of 7 km.
Add that to the DJI Inspire 2’s approximately half-hour flight time (25-27 mins), and you will see just how great it is. This drone is capable of flying in windy conditions with incredible stability.
It uses a dual battery system to boost off. This quadcopter can fly up to 50 mph in just 5 seconds.
Inspire 2 is a drone that is expensive and will be used mostly for business purposes. It is unlikely that the average Joe would spend that much on a drone they will only use occasionally.
It’s a great drone and a lot of fun. But it costs a lot of money just to have some fun.
13. Xiaomi Fimi X8 SE
- Camera with 4k resolution.
- Amazing battery life
- Simple to use the controller
- There is no crash avoidance feature
- Exceed the weight limit for a license-free vehicle
The FIMI subsidiary has promoted the X8 SE drone. Xiaomi FIMI X8 SE features a 4K camera and a 3-axis gimbal. It is foldable, so it looks almost like the DJI Mavic Pro/ DJI Mavic 2 Zoom.
Xiaomi’s average entry price is well below $500. The latest 4K camera drone offers a superior price-performance ratio. He could be considered a crucial option to the DJI drones from the Mavic series.
The XIAOMI FMI X8SE should be able to fly for 33 minutes using the 4,500 mAh drone battery.
light altitude is similar to DJI-camera drones, but the program side limits it to 500 meters. A maximum flight distance of five kilometers is sufficient.
14. Yuneec Typhoon A
- This device is popular because of its advanced features and low price.
- It offers 360-degree shooting with the classic rotating 4k camera unit.
- Includes retractable landing gear.
- The drone and camera can be controlled separately by the users.
- Typhoon has a sonar-based object recognition feature.
- Uses Intel real-sense type of obstacle avoidance system.
- All parts can be replaced and are readily available in the market. Users can also complete the replacement task using do-it-yourself procedures.
- It does not have the same sturdy features as comparable drones.
- Its layout and size are not very user-friendly.
- It takes too long to complete the charging process.
We recommend the Typhoon H from Yuneec for those looking for something cheaper. The Typhoon H by Yuneec will cost you approximately $800 and can fly a maximum drone flight time of up to 25 minutes. Although it isn’t the longest-lasting drone battery, it is almost as long as the Phantom drone flight time
This drone is one of the most reliable you can buy. It has GPS stabilized flight control functions and 5 rotors failsafe. There are 8 smart flight modes. These work well together with all your range options.
Journey Mode, for example, will give you up to 150 feet of range. However, this is a bit of a problem because you won’t have a precise range number unless your smart features are activated to show you what they can do and how far.
15. DJI Phantom 3 Professional
- Flight time: 23 minutes
- Battery: 100V 4480mAh LiPo 4S
- Charge time: 60 minutes

DJI Phantom 3 Professional drone is RTF. You get an extra battery to extend your flight time. The latest 100W charger charges your drone’s battery for 1 hour. You can fly your drone up to 2,000m from you. It could also fly approximately 6,000m above sea level.
The Phantom 3 Professional can take high-quality photos and the 4K resolution of this drone is perfect for professional video. The DJI Phantom 3 Professional can only be purchased in white.
16. DJI Mavic Air 2
- 34min battery life
- HDR video recording
- Great controller
- Internal storage
- Included screen and transmitter
- There is nothing that I can think of.
The last drones with a long flight time are Mavic Air 2. Although we have been focusing on the newer version, the DJI Mavic Air 2 can still be a great option to purchase. It is cheaper and can fly longer distances, up to 33 minutes.
This is an excellent camera drone. I recommend it as the best long-lasting consumer drone you can purchase for under $1000.
Although the Autel Evo 2 had a longer flight time than the Air 2, I didn’t consider it to be as “consumer-level” but would rather use it for professional purposes. It is also significantly more expensive than the Air 2.
17. Sim Too Pro
Sim Too Pro is the first-ever foldable drone on the market. This drone can be easily folded up to go to exotic locations. The drone’s Follow Me feature is a major feature. The drone can automatically track you while you run, walk, or play flag football thanks to this feature. The camera can focus on you and capture all of your activities with the Follow Me feature. Sim Too Pro’s flight time is approximately 30 minutes. It has a control range up to 1,000m. This drone lasts a long time thanks to its size and Follow Me features.
18. DJI Phantom 4
The DJI Phantom 4 drone features top-notch GPS tech and an auto takeoff feature. It is among the smoothest, most controllable drones available. This drone can capture stunning images in 4k Ultra HD video thanks to its f/2.8 lens. The DJI Phantom 4’s hovering ability allows you to capture smooth, clear footage even while the drone is still in flight.
The flight time is just under 30 minutes (or 28 min.). You can be sure that you’ll have plenty of time to film and photograph in the air. The DJI Phantom 4 is approximately $785 and has a control range of around 3,500m.
19. Yuneec Q500+
The Yuneec Q500+ drone is ready to fly. It is equipped with a 16 megapixel, 1080p, 60FPS, camera. This drone’s camera has been redesigned and improved upon other models in order to create images that are free from distortion. The Yuneec Q500+ has a Follow Me function that allows it to follow you and adjust to your location based on the transmitter. You can view the footage that you have shot with the drone on the Yuneec Q500+’s five-inch touchscreen personal ground station. This allows you to frame your shot exactly. It takes approximately 22 minutes to fly. You will get the perfect shot in just 22 minutes. The Yuneec Q500+ is available for $799 and has a 2,000m range.
How to Increase Your Drone’s Flight Time
Here are some tips to help your drone fly better
1. REMOVE PROP GUARDS
Prop guards are the easiest way to increase your battery’s lifespan. There are some drones that have prop guards, but not all. If your drone has them, they are likely to be removable. This will allow you to trim a few grams and give you more flight time, which can lead to more aerial footage.
2. UNMOUNT THE CAMERA
It is always a good option to extended flight time by getting rid of the camera. This might not be an option for those who need to fly longer for aerial video recording. It wouldn’t make sense for them to be able to do that if they had removed the camera. Drone Camera
3. GET A FEW EXTRA BATTERIES
This one is obvious. You can significantly increase your flight time by purchasing several additional batteries. With a few stops. You’ll need to charge them all simultaneously so a 5-in-1 LiPo charger is a great idea. Another thing: If your drone has brushed motors give it a rest for about 4-5 minutes between each flight.
In addition, Proper care of your batteries is the key to making your drone fly better. LiPo batteries are susceptible to damage. Proper maintenance and storage are essential.
