The Hobbymate D6 duo is another dual-port charger from a much lesser-known brand, Comes in 2 types- AC/DC version and a DC-only version which will need an external power supply, cost-wise it makes sense to buy the AC/DC version.
Below is a review of the original D6 Duo. It’s located in the “AC/DC” section. It has been my favorite charger since its inception. I currently have three of them.
The only thing that I did not like about the D6 Duo was its AC power supply. It’s fine to plug it in the wall but I already have a huge 1200 watt DC power supply. I was a bit disappointed with the AC input from the D6 Duo.
Hobbymate was listening. The D6 Duo’s AC input capability is removed and this version cuts $50 off the cost. This is a clear winner for me. The AC/DC Duo is the charger that plugs into the wall. This is the DC-only version if you plan to use an external DC power supply.

For such a low price, the E430 charger offers a lot of functionality. It can charge 2S,3S, and 4S Lipos. This is a great feature as most people only use 2S and 3S lipos.
You can also charge a LiFe battery, which is becoming more popular as the energy density becomes closer to LiPo’s. You can also adjust the charge rate from 1-3A. You can also set the charge rate between 1-3A if you’re in a hurry. This charger is not a power supply, which is why I don’t recommend it to most people. This isn’t usually a problem, but the IDST608 is so powerful that you need a 150W power supply. It is costly.
The main power supply is made by IDST (CP16027 Power Adapter), but this will cost you the charger, increasing the overall price.

This means it can charge your LiPos very quickly. This will reduce the time it takes to charge your LiPos and allow you to fly more often.
You can also charge other types of batteries, such as nickel-cadmium and nickel-metal hydride.
The SkyRC iMax is moderately priced and will save you money in the future. Because of its flexibility and long-lasting nature, it is durable. It is not necessary to purchase additional chargers for different types of batteries. It doesn’t end there.
The iMax can be used to measure the resistance of your batteries and test the voltage analysis from each cell. It also allows you to determine if your drone’s battery charger is dead.
14. 1S LiPo Charger for Tiny Whoops
A convenient charger for 1S batteries. This charger is compatible with all 1S LiPo. The charger also includes a Picoblade 1.25 connector.
You can charge typical LiPo (4.20V) or HV type (4.35V) using the slider. You can also choose between 0.2A and 0.6A charging currents by using the slider switch.

15. ISDT SC-620
The SC-620 has the same high-resolution display as its brother SC-608, but it also comes with a 500W charger that can charge up to 20A. This is a great display, but it’s not a good idea to charge your batteries fast. This reduces the cycle life of your battery (the number of times you can charge/discharge a Lipo while still maintaining its full output capacity).
Most batteries can only charge at 5C. It is best practice to charge your lipo at 1C, so having a 500W charger is not often needed unless you are using higher batteries like a 10,000mAh Lipo.
It is easy to use the interface thanks to its high-resolution color display. And this charger can charge just about any battery from 1S to 6S so from a functionality point of view it is great.
I have a problem with the charger because it requires a 500W power supply. However, ISDT does not sell this power. To make matters worse, the charger uses an XT60 connector for power input. If you purchase a third-party charger/ power supply, you will have to solder a brand new connector. I believe there are better options.

Lipo Battery Charging Basics And Terminology
Before you dive into the guide, there are some terms that you should be familiar with.
mAh (spelled milli Amp hours) – This number denotes the battery capacity of the battery. This number is very similar to the battery capacity on our phones. A larger number indicates a greater capacity. Higher capacities are at the cost of heavier weight.

Parallel charging leads – A group of wires that allow a battery to charge is called parallel charging wires. To create a 3S battery, three 1S batteries can be connected in series. The individual 1S batteries can be charged independently by the balance charging wire.
Current Battery Charging – This is probably one of the most important calculations and factors to make before charging a battery.
A 1C charging rate is ideal. While 2C charging rates can be acceptable, anything higher could reduce the battery’s lifespan over the long term. One example is a 1500mAh 100C battery that can be charged safely at either 1C (1.5A), or 2C (3A). Advanced chargers can adjust the charging currents based on the battery.

The Cell count

Since mini quad pilots use a lot of small batteries, parallel charging is a big help. These components allow you to charge multiple batteries at once from one charging port. Some chargers only have one charging port. Charging 10 batteries takes approximately an hour. Parallel charging boards are therefore available.
The parallel charging board splits the current from the charger and sends it to each port on the board. If a parallel charging board has 5 ports and 5 battery connections, the current from the charger will be divided among all 5 ports.
There is a catch. The charger considers all 5 batteries to be one larger battery and can only charge them together if they are of the same voltage and capacity. Batteries with different capacities can be connected together, but the smaller battery might get overcharged or get damaged.
Tips For How To Use Your Battery Charger Properly
You can maximize the life and use of your battery chargers as well as the battery’s lifetime by knowing how to properly use them.
If your battery is not being shut off completely, don’t connect an unregulated “automatic charger” to it overnight.
